Single Pedal Technique

Here we get you started with setting your pedal tension the right way, and everything that goes into single pedal playing.

Heel up vs heel down, when to use which and for what effect. The genres that suit each.
How and when to switch from leg to ankle to get more speed and fast twitch.
How to control different dynamic levels with your control of beater heights.

MODULE 2

Independence Patterns & Beats

In this module we look at playing the bass drum independently of set hand patterns, to build a large vocab of beat ideas across many styles.

Hand against hand, foot against foot, hands over feet, and feet under hands vocab patterns for high level dexterity
8th, 16th and triplet beat combinations
Multi-beat exercises against a basic 8th hand pattern. Quarters, 8ths, 16ths, 32nds and even 64th notes.

MODULE 3

Double Pedal Technique

Discover unique ways to play your double pedal setup.

Basic 8th and 16th combinations to get started, including the gallop.
Adding 32nd notes in groups of 3's and 5's to add 32nd note flurries at the end of your beats.
Triplet and 16th triplet beats, for advanced players
Tons of awesome fills that use double kick in between hand combinations
