The Jazz Ride Pattern.

The basic jazz ride pattern revolves around triplets. The pattern is, 1, 2, +3, 4, +1..

Make sure you play an accent on beat 2 and 4. This helps create the swing feel.

From here add the hihats on 2 and 4, with the left foot..

Finally, add the bass drum, softly, on all four beats..
