EXERCISE 1.
In this lesson we will be playing the
bass drum on beats 1 and 4, the snare drum on beats 2
and 3, and the hihats on all 4 beats..
EXERCISE 2.
In exercise 2 we play the bass drum
on all 4 beats ("four on the floor"), the snare
backbeats on 2 and 4, and the hihats on all 4 beats..
EXERCISE 3.
In exercise 3 we play the bass drum,
snare drum and hihats on all 4 beats. The trick here is
to make sure all four instruments land exactly together
and you don't get any flams between them all..
