In this lesson we will look at the popular rock shuffle. The rock shuffle is different to a regular rock beat because it uses triplets, rather than straight 8th notes. Let's learn to count triplets first, they are just 3 notes inside each beat..
From there, let's now learn the hihat part with the RH. We play the first and third tripet of each beat, with a bit of an accent on the downbeat (beat 1, 2, 3 and 4) and a softer note on the third triplet of each beat.
And finally we will add the bass on 1 and 3, and the snare on 2 and 4..
