In this lesson we look at adding 16th notes
into our basic 8th beats, on the snare drum. In this lesson we'll
look at playing the "e" 16th note of beat 3, on snare drum.
The beat we're aiming to play is this..
To start with, learn the snare and bass drum pattern on its own, making sure you land the "e" 16th exactly in the correct spot. Then gradually bring in the hihat part. Learning new beats in this way is actually the faster way of learning, even though it seems like it takes longer in the beginning.
