"32nd Note Beats That Use The Single Parradiddle"
A neat way of playing what sounds like a very busy 32nd note beat can be achieved using just the single parradiddle. If we use the 2 Sound Level concept to good effect and place accents on beats 1 and 3, we get a nice groove going with lots of ghost notes on both snare and hihats. Let's start out by playing the single parradiddle with the RH on the hihats, and the LH on the snare..
Now if we remove the snare accents from 2 and 4 and instead bring the RH over to play an accent on beat 3, it gives a half time, or 32nd note feel..
From here you can add in bass drum figures, the most basic being just a bass drum on beat 1.
